Report Child Abuse!!
If you see, hear or suspect a child is being abused make a report.. All reports can be made anonymously. Call 911 immediately. Have as much information available about the child, where they live, go to school, parents, address, phone number, etc. This will help the authorities in their investigation.
What you will need to provide to file a report:
Child's name, address, phone number, birth-date, gender; Mother's name, address, phone number, birth-date; Father's name, address, phone number, birth-date; Who is abusing the child? All evidence of abuse including photographs, recordings, witnesses, personal accounts of witnessing abuse, etc ... The more information you can provide the quicker the abuse can be investigated and the child can be placed at a safe location with a family member or loved one.
Reporter's name, location, and contact information (sometimes not required, but extremely valuable to CPS staff).
Can I do a follow up after the abuse is reported?
Yes! You will be provided with a case number to follow up.
